70 שנה לעליה על הקרקע של י"א הנקודות שקבעו את גבולות הארץ: מבצע ההתיישבות, הגדול מסוגו טרם קום המדינה, נעשה באיחוד כוחות בין כל התנועות והמפלגות – מהשומר הצעיר ועד הציונות הדתית. כנס "בארות בנגב" יעמוד בסימן התאריך ההיסטורי וישתתפו בו ראשי המועצות האזוריות בנגב ובני הדור הראשון בישובים

במלאות 70 שנים למבצע ההקמה בין לילה של י"א הנקודות בנגב יערך כנס "בארות בנגב" שיוקדש למבצע ולתרומתו המכרעת לעיצוב גבולות המדינה באזור הדרום. הכנס יערך בקיבוץ עלומים, סמוך לאתר ההיסטורי של בארות יצחק, וישתתפו בו ראשי המועצות בנגב ובני הדור הראשון בישובים שהוקמו.

לדברי נחמיה רפל, מזכ"ל תנועת הקיבוץ הדתי שעורכת את הכנס, מבצע הקמת י"א הנקודות הוא פרויקט ההתיישבות הגדול ביותר מסוגו שנעשה טרם הקמת המדינה, ואחד מהגורמים להצלחתו הוא שיתוף הפעולהבין כל המפלגות והתנועות. הלקח על הנועזות, החלוציות וחשיבות האחדות הלאומית צריך לעמוד מול עינינו גם בהווה ובעתיד.

בכנס ינתחו מומחים את עמדת הצבא הבריטי ביחס למאבק על ארץ ישראל ופרויקט ההתיישבות ומגבלות כוח האדם של הבריטים שהישוב היהודי ידע לנצל. כן יעסוק הכנס במקור שמם של הישובים וכיצד הם השתלבו בתרבות ובשירה. ותיקי הישובים יספרו על זיכרונותיהם מהשנים הראשונות.

בארגון הכנס שותפה המועצה לשימור אתרי מורשת בישראל ובחלקו האחרון יצאו המשתתפים לסיורים שיעסקו במבצע הקמת י"א הנקודות, סיפורו של כפר דרום ופרויקט התצוגה של "בארות בנגב" המנציחה את סיפורו של קיבוץ בארות יצחק בנגב שננטש לאחר קרב גבורה.

הכנס יערך ביום שני, כ"ב בשבט, 1 בפברואר, בקיבוץ עלומים ופתוח להשתתפות הקהל הרחב.
