כמיטב מוסדות האקדמיה בארץ ובעולם, אגודת הסטודנטים ומשרד הדיקן פותחים השבוע את מועדון הדיבייט במכללת ספיר. דיבייט הוא ספורט אינטלקטואלי המאתגר קבוצות יריבות לתמוך בהצעה מסוימת או להתנגד לה. במסגרת המועדון יתקיימו תחרויות בין הקמפוסים בארץ, הטובים יגיעו לאליפות הארץ והטובים ביותר יתחרו  בתחרויות בינלאומיות

כלים

המאמנת של הסדנא ענת גלבר, מחזיקה במקום ראשון בארץ בדיבייט, זוכת אליפות העולם בדיבייט, מרצה בספיר ומדריכת דיבייט באוני' בן גוריון בחמש שנים האחרונות.

"מועדון הדיבייט מקנה שיפור יכולת רטורית, הבעה עצמית מול קהל ויתרונות באינטראקציות אישיות. לרוב יש לכך השפעות על יכולות אקדמיות ושיפור ההישגים הלימודיים". אומרת ענת.

מכללת ספיר הכירה בחשיבות של המועדון ככלי לשיפור הכישורים והעצמה האישית ומסבסדת את הפרויקט כולו. סטודנטים המעוניינים להשתתף בו יוכלו להנות בחברות במועדון היוקרתי ללא תשלום. בנוסף הם ישתתפו בתחרויות בארץ ותחרויות בינלאומיות ביחד עם חברי המועדון של 14 מוסדות אקדמיים המשתתפים בחוג הדיבייט הארצי. ספיר היא המכללה הציבורית היחידה המשתתפת במועדון יחד עם כל האוניברסיטאות בארץ.
