עו"ס ענבל חרמוני נבחרה אתמול (שלישי 30/1) לראשות איגוד העובדים הסוציאליים, בבחירות שנערכו ב-145 קלפיות ברחבי הארץ. חרמוני זכתה לתמיכה רחבה, של 2,882 עובדות ועובדים סוציאליים, המהווים 61.87% מכלל הבוחרים.

איגוד העובדים הסוציאליים יקיים ב-30  לינואר בחירות שבהן יבחרו העו"ס את יו"ר האיגוד ואת 161 הצירות והצירים שייצגו אותם בוועידת העובדים הסוציאליים. בבחירות יתחרו שתי מועמדות בלבד לתפקיד יו"ר האיגוד: היו"ר המכהנת, עו"ס מומחה צפרא דוויק, ועו"ס ענבל חרמוני, ממובילות תנועת "עתידנו" לשינוי מצבן ותנאי העסקתן של העובדות הסוציאליות ולמאבק למען מדינת רווחה בישראל.

איגוד העובדים הסוציאליים יסגור מחר (יום חמישי, 8.4) משעה 11 בבוקר את כל לשכות הרווחה בארץ לקבלת קהל, למשך שעתיים, ויקיים אסיפות הסברה. במקביל כל פקידי הסעד בארץ לא ישתתפו באותן שעות בדיונים שנקבעו להם בבית משפט, זאת במחאה על מקרה אלימות חמור, בו הותקפו שתי עובדות סוציאליות מעיריית ירושלים באולם בית המשפט לנוער. שתי העובדות הותקפו תקיפה חמורה, עד כדי סכנת חיים, על-ידי אם ובנה, בעת דיון בהארכת תקופת שהות ילדי האם באומנה
