בעקבות הפיגוע בדרום, סגן השר איוב קרא (ליכוד) פנה לראשי מחאת האוהלים וקרא להם לפרק את המחאה כהזדהות עם פצועי הפיגוע. "זה זמן להיות מאוחדים סביב המאבק בטרור, והסדקים בתוכנו וההפגנות משרתים רק את אויבנו" אומר קרא
