נשיא הפרלמנט האירופי החדש, אנטוניו טיאני בכנס על עתיד יהדות אירופה שנערך בספטמבר האחרון. מנכ"ל איגוד הארגונים היהודים באירופה (EJA), הרב מנחם מרגולין: "נשיא הפרלמנט האירופי הנבחר, אנטוניו טיאני הינו ידיד אמת של ישראל והעם היהודי" בחירתו של חבר המפלגה השמרנית מאיטליה, אנטוניו טיאני, לתפקיד נשיא הפרלמנט האירופי, מעוררת הדים רבים בקרב הקהילות היהודיות ברחבי היבשת.
