צוות מרפאת יקנעם של כללית רפואה משלימה, השתתף בפסטיבל מיוחד לאימהות ותינוקות שהתקיים  בעיר ובמהלכו, הוקם דוכן של המרפאה, שהציע הרצאות העוסקות בחשיבותה של הרפואה המשלימה בחיי היומיום וכיצד יש ביכולתם של טיפולים אלה לסייע לאימהות הצעירות. בנוסף, התקיימו הדרכות של מטפלים בתחום

המועצה המקומית טבעון, בשיתוף עיריית יוקנעם, החליטו לטפל באופן יסודי, בחיסול מטרדי הריח שהגיעו בחודשים האחרונים ממכון טיהור השפכים המשותף, שבסמוך לצומת כפר-יהושע. לאחר טיפול בחומר ביולוגי למניעת ריחות, שפתר את הבעיה באופן זמני, הוחלט כעת לבצע פינוי של הבוצה שהצטברה במכון, על-מנת למנוע הישנות של מטרדי ריח בשנים הקרובות
