הישג להסברה הישראלית: לאחר מסע שכנועים דיפלומטי החליטו מספר מדינות אפריקאיות - ניגריה, גאנה, אתיופיה, אוגנדה ודרום סודאן -  לתמוך בעמדת ישראל בהצבעה המתוכננת ב- 20 בספטמבר באו"ם על הקמת מדינה פלסטינית

משלחת פקיסטנית, בראשות הכומר סוהיל פארמאן, שהגיעה לועידה נוצרית המתקיימת בלאגוס שבניגריה, תחת מנהיגותו של המכונה "האפיפיור האפריקאי", אדובאיו, נפגשה לבקשתה עם סגן השר קרא והמשלחת הישראלית בראשה הוא עומד

במפגן כוח חסר תקדים התקיימה לפנות בוקר בניגריה העצרת השנתית של "כנסיית האל", שבראשה עומד מי שמכונה "האפיפיור האפריקאי", אדובאיו . את ישראל ייצג סגן השר איוב קרא, מ"מ השגריר הישראלי בניגריה מר ג'ורג' דיק ונציגים מכלל עדות ישראל. כ- 5 מליון איש הריעו לסגן השר קרא שנשא נאום בעצרת, ובמיוחד כשקרא להמונים לבוא ולבקר בירושלים עיר הקודש, ולעמוד לצד ישראל במאבקה על קיומה בימים הקרובים

4. לקראת ספטמבר: ההסברה הישראלית מסתערת על אפריקה

הלילה תצא משלחת בראשות סגן השר לשת"פ איזורי,  ח"כ איוב קרא (ליכוד) למפגשים באפריקה. המשלחת אמורה לפגוש ראשי מדינות ונשיאים בניגריה, קונגו וככל הנראה תהיה המשלחת הראשונה שתבקר בדרום סודאן
