במעמד ראש העיר עכו שמעון לנקרי, שחקן נבחרת ישראל בטניס, אנדי רם ומנכ"ל המרכז לטניס בישראל, ארי שטרסברג נערך ביום שני במרכז הטניס בעכו אירוע לציון 40 שנה להקמת המרכז לטניס בישראל. האירוע כלל הפנינג לכל הקהילה ומשחק ראווה בין אנדי רם ומאמנו לשעבר רונן מורלי אשר שיחקו משחק זוגות עם ילדי מרכז הטניס בעכו. באירוע השתתפו יו"ר אגודת הידידים של מרכז הטניס גיא ידלין, מנהל מרכז הטניס בעכו, אלעד רוט שאף הנחה את הטקס, ילדים רבים והוריהם. בהמשך התקיים הפנינג ספורטיבי שכלל מתחמי פעילויות להורים וילדים ולגיל הרך והרצאה לבוגרים בנושא "מנהיגות חיובית, העצמה אישית ומה שביניהם" מפי רונן מורלי.

מרכז הטניס בישראל יקיים גם השנה את אחד מאירועי הטניס הבין לאומיים המשמעותיים לשנת 2010 בחסות ראשית של קרן אנג'ל- Challenger ISRAEL OPEN. בין התאריכים, 2-8 בחודש מאי, בסימן הצדעה לאלופים, מרכז הטניס רמת השרון יארח את התחרות בה ישתתפו אנדי רם, יוני ארליך, הראל לוי, נועם אוקון, אמיר וינטרוב ועוד, ושחקנים בין-לאומיים המדורגים בין 100 הטניסאים הטובים בעולם לעיניי אלפי צופים שיפקדו את האצטדיון
