במסגרת שיפור איכות החיים העירונית בבת-ים פועלת עיריית בת-ים להגדלת השטחים הירוקים לרווחת תושבי העיר. בשנים האחרונות, בשכונת עמידר, נערכו עבודות פיתוח נרחבות וביניהן גם הקמת שני פארקים חדשים ורחבי ידיים הכוללים משחקי ילדים. כיום, עומדים לרשות תושבי השכונה וילדיה 17 גנים, נאים, בטיחותיים וידידותיים לסביבה

בימים אלה שיקמו עובדי המחלקה לגנים ונוף בעירייה את  גן לוגסי, הנמצא במפגש הרחובות הגליל ורוטשילד ומשתרע על פני כ 4 דונם.

עבודות השיקום כללו תיקוני ריצוף, חידוש מערכת ההשקיה,  נטיעת שיחים בוגרים, הוספת ריהוט גן חדשני, שתילת מדשאות והתקנת מתקני משחק לילדים.
